We bought a new computer and installed the existing hp envy 4512 which worked great and suddenly today it sounds like it is trying to print but nothing comes out on the paper when I send something from the computer. If I select one of the quick forms from the printer itself it will print them out just fine. I have ran a test page from the computer with no success. I have tried to print one from the printer and it comes out just fine. I have tried to reset the software by reinstalling it and no success. hopefully someone can help me out. thank you very much in advance

Hi @fishman24
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "cannot print from computer" issue.
I understand that you are able to print test pages from the printer itself, but the prints blank pages when printing from a computer.
please help me with the below information to help you better.
1)What is the operating system on your computer?
2)How is the printer connected to the computer(USB, wireless)?
3)What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
4)Could you try making a copy of the color and a black document?
Meanwhile, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page
Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report from the printer control panel, then evaluate the results.
-
Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup
.
-
Touch Tools.
-
Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report.
Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
Keep me posted.
