@mikep33, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY 6032 printer suddenly starts printing the first page with "UNCLASSIFIED" and the second page comes out fine, is more likely tied to:
🔍 Possible Causes:
- Header/Footer or Watermark set in the document or app you're printing from (like Word or a PDF viewer).
- Default print settings, especially if it's coming from a network or work environment where classification headers like “UNCLASSIFIED” are common.
- Corrupted print job or print spooler glitch.
- Driver/software misbehavior or auto-added print overlay.
✅ Quick Fixes to Try:
1. Try Printing from Another App
- Open a different document or a plain text file (Notepad).
- Print a test page.
- See if “UNCLASSIFIED” still prints.
- If it doesn't appear, the issue is with the original document or app you're printing from.
2. Check Document Header/Footer or Watermarks
- Open the document in Word or your PDF viewer.
- Go to Insert > Header/Footer or Design > Watermark (in Word).
- Make sure no hidden watermark or classification header is present.
3. Check Printer Driver Defaults
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your HP ENVY 6032, click Printer Preferences or Printing Defaults.
- Look for any options like Overlays, Banner Pages, or Security Markings.
- Disable anything related to classification, headers, or preprinted text.
4. Clear the Print Queue and Restart Spooler
Sometimes an old job with classification headers gets stuck:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, press Enter.
- Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click → Stop.
- Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete everything inside.
- Go back and Start the Print Spooler.
5. Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Remove the printer from Windows.
- Go to HP’s website and download the latest full driver package for ENVY 6032.
- Reinstall and try printing again.
If you're printing from a work/school-issued laptop, sometimes classification headers are enforced by group policy or security software.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
