Hi @Bebito64,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting an error 03 on the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w usually indicates a paper jam or a paper feed issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Check for Paper Jams
- Open all accessible panels and areas where paper travels, such as the input tray, output tray, and toner cartridge area.
- Gently remove any paper that is stuck or partially fed.
- Ensure no tiny paper scraps are left behind.
2. Inspect the Paper Tray
- Ensure that the paper in the input tray is not wrinkled, folded, or curled.
- Make sure the paper is aligned properly and that the tray is not overloaded.
- Verify that the paper type matches the printer's settings.
3. Check the Toner Cartridge
- Open the printer's front cover and remove the toner cartridge carefully.
- Check for any jammed paper or debris inside the toner cartridge area.
- Reinstall the toner cartridge securely before closing the cover.
4. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
- This may clear the error and reset the printer.
5. Check Firmware and Drivers Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that the printer's firmware is up-to-date.
- Visit the HP Support website to download the latest firmware or drivers for your printer model and operating system.
