Hi @zealotique,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error 0xc19a0003 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 typically indicates a problem with the printhead or ink system. Here are steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Check and Reseat the Printhead

  • Open the printer's access door to access the printhead and cartridges.
  • Remove all ink cartridges and set them aside.
  • Carefully lift and reseat the printhead.
  • Reinsert the cartridges and close the access door.

Clean the Printhead

  • If the error persists, clean the printhead contacts:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
    • Remove the cartridges and the printhead.
    • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the printer.
    • Allow the printhead to dry completely before reinserting it.

Update the Firmware

  • If your printer is functional enough to connect to your computer or network, check for a firmware update using the HP Smart app or HP's website. Sometimes, software updates can fix persistent errors.

Use the Built-in Diagnostic Tool

  • Some HP printers have a built-in diagnostic feature:
    • Go to the printer's menu and look for Tools or Printer Maintenance.
    • Run the Clean Printhead or Printer Alignment function.

Reset the Printer

  • Perform a semi-full reset:
    • Unplug the printer.
    • Hold the # and 3 buttons while plugging the power cord back in.
    • Release the buttons when the printer powers on and follow the on-screen instructions.

Replace the Printhead

  • If cleaning and reseating the printhead does not resolve the issue, it might need replacement. You can purchase a new printhead compatible with the OfficeJet Pro 8610. Ensure you follow the installation instructions carefully.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
