How to fix

Error 49 on new Laser printer 234DW.

If the error appears even after a restart disconnect any wireless (you may have to temporarily shut off your internet to do this) and disconnect any wired ethernet or USB cables and then turn the printer off then on. If the printer comes to ready with no connections, then you likely have a stale/corrupt print job that you need to clear. For a Windows based machine follow these instructions: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-clear-printer-queue-in-windows-10/7e5ac...

Once you have cleared the print queue. Reconnect you wireless or wired connection and update the firmware on the printer. You will find current firmware at support.hp.com.

If the above does not resolve the problem you may have an actual hardware issue.
