I’m sorry you’re dealing with this printer issue—it can be frustrating when error codes like 71.02.4A disrupt printing. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

 

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on.

 

Check for Cartridge Issues

  • Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
  • Remove the ink cartridges and inspect them for dust or debris.
  • Wipe the copper-colored contacts with a lint-free cloth.
  • Reinsert the cartridges securely and close the access door.

 

Update the Firmware on Your HP Printer

  • HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes.
