@Nelson2011,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

The error code "OXB3D8CBEB" on the HP ENVY Photo 6255 printer indicates a hardware or firmware issue. To resolve this error, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

  2. Update Firmware: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause errors. Visit the HP Support website and search for the HP ENVY Photo 6255 printer model. Look for firmware updates available for your printer here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-photo-6200-all-in-one-printer-series/907304..., and follow the instructions provided to update the firmware.

  3. Clear Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions. If you find any, gently remove the jammed paper or clear the obstruction. Make sure there are no torn pieces of paper left inside the printer.

  4. Perform a partial or semi-full reset on your printer: To perform a partial or semi-full reset on your HP printer, you can follow these general steps. Please note that the exact steps may vary depending on the specific model of your printer. It's always a good idea to consult the printer's user manual* or visit the HP support website for model-specific instructions.

    1. Turn on your HP printer if it's not already powered on.
    2. Locate the power button on the printer and press it to turn off the printer.
    3. Once the printer is turned off, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    4. Disconnect the power cord from the power source or wall outlet.
    5. Wait for approximately 60 seconds to allow the printer to fully power down.
    6. Reconnect the power cord to the printer and plug it back into the power source.
    7. Press the power button on the printer to turn it back on.

    After performing the partial or semi-full reset, the printer should go through a brief initialization process. This reset procedure can help clear certain printer errors or issues that you may be experiencing.

    However, please note that a partial or semi-full reset may also reset certain printer settings, so you may need to reconfigure any customized settings or preferences after performing the reset.

    If you are unsure about the reset procedure or if the issue persists after the reset, I recommend referring to the printer's user manual or contacting HP Support for specific instructions and further assistance.

  5. Contact HP Support**: If the error persists after trying the above steps, it's recommended to contact HP Support or visit an authorized service center. They will be able to provide further assistance and guide you through more advanced troubleshooting steps or arrange for repairs if needed.

Unfortunately, none of your recommendations worked.

I downloaded the firmware check from the link you provided below; i received an "up to date" message. Therefore, there is nothing further I can do.

Now what? Is there no way to speak with someone to walk me through this?

@Nelson2011,

I am very sorry that the recommendations didn't resolve your issue.

In that case, as I suggested in my previous post, you may want to contact HP.

And as I questioned in my most recent reply, how do I go about speaking to someone?

Coming here to this forum is about the closest I’ve gotten to trying to find an answer. Is there a help number?

To add, it seems that because my coverage is “expired”, I am not provided an option to call someone. My only contact options are the HP Community (here) and a virtual agent. I attempted to contact someone before embarking on this forum and received the same issue. Please note where to head now.

@Nelson2011,

It is my hope that another Forum/Community member will respond and has something to add to this discussion thread.
