Five days ago my HP Envy Inspire 7255e was on when the wall outlet power was lost. The power returned. For five days I've seen error code B80B1390 with six lights flashing. I have not changed any software or drivers. I have a wireless connection to my 2019 Retina 5K 27-inch iMac with IOS Sonoma 14.5.  The printer's power button won't turn off the printer. Unplugging the printer doesn't change the situation. Unplugging the router and printer and waiting two minutes also doesn't help. How do I get my printer printing again?

Hi @MikeA802,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code B80B1390 with flashing lights on your HP Envy Inspire 7255e printer indicates a serious error that typically requires more advanced troubleshooting. Given that the power outage may have caused this issue, here are some steps you can take to try and resolve it:

1. Perform a Power Reset

  • Disconnect All Cables: Unplug the printer from the power outlet, as well as any USB or Ethernet cables.
  • Wait: Leave the printer unplugged for at least 10-15 minutes. This allows any residual charge to dissipate.
  • Reconnect: Plug the printer back into the power outlet. Do not connect any other cables yet.
  • Power On: Try turning on the printer.

2. Check for Internal Hardware Issues

  • Remove Cartridges: Open the printer and remove all ink cartridges.
  • Inspect for Obstructions: Look inside the printer for any paper jams or foreign objects.
  • Reinstall Cartridges: Reinstall the ink cartridges securely.

3. Reset Printer Settings

  • Factory Reset: If the printer has a display panel, navigate to the settings menu and look for a factory reset or restore settings option. This can sometimes resolve firmware-related issues.
  • Manual Reset: If the printer does not have a display panel, consult the user manual or HP support site for instructions on performing a manual reset.

4. Check Firmware Updates

  • Connect to Computer: Connect the printer to your iMac using a USB cable.
  • HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app and check for any firmware updates for your printer.
  • Update Firmware: If an update is available, follow the instructions to install it.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download Tool: Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website.
  • Run Diagnosis: Follow the instructions to run the tool, which can diagnose and fix many common printing issues.

6. Inspect Power Supply

  • Stable Power Source: Ensure that the printer is plugged into a stable power source, not a power strip or surge protector that may have been affected by the outage.
  • Different Outlet: Try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current outlet.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
