Hi @Effie1234,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Smart Tank 7300 is giving a “Rendering Failed” error and has stopped printing from your computer. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Restart your printer and computer
Turn both off, wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on. This can clear temporary communication or driver issues.

Check the USB or network connection
Make sure the USB cable is securely connected or, if using Wi-Fi, confirm the printer is on the same network as your computer.

Update or reinstall the printer driver
Go to the HP website, download the latest full-feature driver for your printer model, uninstall any old drivers, then install the new driver.

Set the printer as default
In your computer’s printer settings, right-click your HP Smart Tank 7300 and select “Set as default printer.”

Clear the print queue
Open the print queue, cancel all pending jobs, then try printing a new document.

Print a test page from the printer
This helps determine if the issue is with the printer hardware or the computer connection.

Try printing from a different application
If printing works from another program, the issue may be with the original software sending the print job.

Check for software conflicts
Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall software and try printing again to see if they are blocking the print job.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor (if available)
This free HP tool can automatically detect and fix many printing and driver issues.

I hope this helps.
