Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn the printer on.

This clears temporary memory issues and may resolve the error.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause internal errors like B85785B0. To update:

  • Visit the Official HP® Support
  • Enter your printer model and download the latest firmware.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
