photosmart 7525e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

W10 64bit desktop current with Windows Updates.

HP7525E connected via USB.  Current with HP updates and running the full HP driver pkg.

When I click to print a PDF I get a Windows pop-up message that quickly disappears, but part of the message says "Error printing ..." or "can't print to ...".  But the page prints OK anyway.  Today when it appeared I had clicked to print a Groupon in 2-sided mode but also had selected to print only the "current page" (and I believe there is only 1 page).  Not printing in color, btw.

Ran HP Print & Scan Doctor which found no problems.

Did not reboot.

Shut down the browser (Edge).

Re-launched browser and went to Groupon again.

This time printing the same groupon (in monochrome) in either single sided mode or 2-sided mode the error message did not appear and the PDF printed fine as before.

I've seen the error message many times before but have not researched it previously.  I know I've seen it many times when printing PDF's.  I don't remember whether I've seen it when printing other things.

Uninstalled Acrobat DC and then ran CCleaner

Then rebooted, started Edge, downloaded/installed Reader DC from Adobe and then printed the Groupon PDF.

Did not get any error message this time.

thx!
