Hi @Mb020,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?

Meanwhile, you can try these steps:

Check Printhead Cover:

  • Ensure the printhead cover is completely closed. Sometimes the error may persist if the cover is not firmly shut.

Inspect the Carriage Path:

  • Open the printer access door and ensure there is no obstruction in the carriage path.
  • Move the carriage gently back and forth if possible to check for any hidden debris or obstructions that might cause a jam.

Remove and Reinstall the Ink Cartridges:

  • Turn off the printer and open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Carefully remove the ink cartridges and inspect them for any damage.
  • Reinstall the cartridges, ensuring they are placed correctly.

Restart Devices:

  • Perform a power cycle by turning off your printer, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.

Check Printer Status:

  • Navigate to the "Devices and Printers" section on your computer.
  • Make sure your printer is set as the default printer and check for any pending print jobs ("queue") that might be causing an error.

Clear Printer Queue:

  • Sometimes print jobs stuck in the queue can trigger false error messages.
  • Delete any pending print jobs from the printer queue found under "Devices and Printers" on your computer.

Driver Update:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit HP's website to download any necessary updates.

I hope this helps.
