firmware error

Hi @nancy290,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that you are receiving a firmware error while setting up your HP printer.

To provide the correct recovery steps, I’ll need the exact printer model and the complete firmware error message or error code shown on the printer or during setup. HP firmware recovery procedures vary by printer model, so I would not recommend trying a firmware file or recovery procedure intended for a different model.

Please provide:

  • Exact HP printer model
  • Full firmware error message/code
  • Whether the error appears on the printer's control panel, HP app, or computer
  • Whether the printer can reach the normal Ready screen

If you can provide a photo of the error message, that would also be helpful.

Once I have those details, I can provide the appropriate HP-supported recovery steps.

Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi

I'm an HP Employee.
