Hi @ToyCannon,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet 3015e printer. It may be stuck in a "canceling" state due to a print job or a communication issue between your printer and computer. Here's a step-by-step guide to help resolve the problem:

1. Cancel Any Print Jobs:

  • On Your Computer:
    • Open the Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Find your HP OfficeJet 3015e printer, right-click it, and select See what's printing.
    • If there are any print jobs listed, right-click on them and choose Cancel.
  • On the Printer:
    • If there's a job stuck in the queue, try pressing the Cancel or Stop button on the printer to clear the queue.

2. Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer using the power button.
  • Unplug the printer from the wall and wait for about 1 minute.
  • Plug it back in and turn the printer on.

3. Restart the Print Spooler Service:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • In the Services window, scroll down and find Print Spooler.
  • Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart.
  • Try printing again after this step.

4. Check for Stuck Print Jobs in the Printer:

  • Sometimes, a stuck job on the printer's internal memory can cause this. Perform the following:
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Hold down the Cancel and Resume buttons (if available) while turning it back on, then release.
    • This may clear any stuck jobs and reset the printer.

5. Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select Remove device.
  • Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet 3015e.
  • Reinstall the printer and try printing again.

6. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings:

If the issue persists, you can try performing a factory reset on the printer.

  • Navigate to the printer's Settings menu (via the front panel).
  • Look for an option to reset the printer to its factory default settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
