@PTarrive

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for your response; I got so frustrated trying to trouble shoot this problem that I gave up and bought a new printer.  Apparently I was caught in the "no phone service" day for HP this week.  Hopefully, the new printer will work.

I am getting this same error.  I have unplugged and let it sit….then went into setup, web services and clicked “check for updates” and it says it is up to date.  I have also taken the printer head out and put it back in… still getting the error 😕

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

If you have already performed the steps from the document Print head Errors: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

I am having the same issue. Did anyone resolve this outside of buying a new printer. Can I just buy a new printhead? I want to make sure I get the right one though.

Was anyone able to help with this issue? I'm also getting the error message. I have followed all the instructions in this thread but it's still showing the error message.

Please help. I'm having the same problem with my printer. I've checked for updates and am up to date, I've unplugged it and I've moved the printhead 6 times. It's still showing the error message. Thank you.

Hello HP.  It's clear from searching through these posts that this issue is happening on many of these printers.

I have the same issue on my 8610.  Have bought a replacement print head and it has not resolved the issue.  Have tried virtual assistant, have tried facebook messenger, now trying this community.  Any support available from HP?
