Very suddenly, I can't print or scan, getting messages involving Framework and PDEs, that they might harm my computer. Even if I choose to ignore the message, I still can't print. In the printer icon, I get a message saying "One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing....We recommend reinstalling the printer driver software." I did install HP Smart but it did not make a difference. Any ideas?

1. Make sure your macOS has all the latest updates from Apple
2. Make sure your macOS has been connected to the internet in the last 48 hours or so. The original trigger has been reversed and your macOS should get the update to stop these message.
3. In your case updating HP Smart will not resolve the issue. You need to update or remove the underlying drivers.
Open System Preferences and go to Printers & Scanners
Select your printer in the list and select the "-" button at the bottom
Close System Preferences
Go to the / Library/Printers folder on your macOS and delete the hp folder.
Open System Preferences again and add the printer. This should eliminate the error and allow you to print.

I have an HP Office jetPro 8600 that abruptly stopped printing and delivered this message. It happened after using a download of PlugIn from Asurion for an "Affidavit Application" form for a phone replacement request. I thought the two occasions were related but the Apple help line just helped me screen my desktop for malware and it came up that none was present SO its an HP problem. How is it fixed? Need to use printer ASAP!

I got the warning message and could not print. After looking for solutions on line I uninstalled the HP apps, framework, etc using the HP uninstaller. I then installed the software for my printer from HP. I am now able to print, BUT I still get the warning notice which I "OK" twice and then move it to the finder. Then I can print but how do I get rid of that annoying warning message?
