I have a HP Office Jet 3830. Green light is on in the back but it wont turn on. I have tried all the restart procedures listed on other conversations, some conversations say the tech will send further options via private message. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Rusty108,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet 3830 printer's green light is on, but it won't power on. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can follow:

Check Power Source:

  • Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and a working power outlet.
  • Try plugging the printer into a different outlet to rule out any power source issues.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the printer from the power source.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer while it is on.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and plug it back into the power outlet.
  • Attempt to power on the printer.

Inspect Power Cord and Adapter:

  • Make sure the power cord and adapter are not damaged.
  • If you have another compatible power cord or adapter, you can try using it to see if the issue persists.

Check Internal Components:

  • Open the printer and check for any loose, visibly damaged, or obstructed components that might prevent the printer from turning on.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
