Hi @aladin24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0x6100004a on your HP OfficeJet Pro 6975 typically indicates a hardware malfunction, often related to issues with the printhead or cartridges. You've already completed the troubleshooting steps, but here are a few additional suggestions that might help.

Reset the Printer

Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve error codes:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Turn the printer back on and check if the error persists.

Check for Paper Jams

Even if you don't see visible jams, paper or debris could be lodged inside the printer:

  • Open all the printer's access panels (such as the cartridge access door and the rear panel).
  • Check for any paper, fragments, or foreign objects that may have become stuck.
  • Carefully remove any obstructions you find.

Inspect the Printhead and Cartridges

A faulty printhead or incorrect installation could trigger the error:

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Carefully remove the cartridges.
  • Clean the printhead gently with a lint-free cloth and some distilled water (if you suspect it's dirty or clogged).
  • Ensure the cartridges are correctly installed and that the contacts are clean and undamaged.

Perform a Printer Diagnostic

Use the HP Printer Assistant or HP Smart app to run a diagnostic on the printer. Sometimes this can help identify internal errors or hardware problems that are harder to diagnose manually.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can sometimes lead to unexpected errors:

  • Go to the HP website and search for your printer model to check for any available firmware updates.
  • Follow the instructions to update the printer's firmware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
