I just replaced the black cartridge and went to fill the recyle envelope.  I also have color cartridges but don't recall if they are new or used.  Is there an easy way to identify this?

Try to make a copy and check what happens.

To check the authenticity of your cartridges, go to the HP anti-counterfeit webpage (in English).
