This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to print photos on HP Photosmart 6520 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
-
Before printing, edit the photo to improve colors, brightness, contrast and any other appearance settings.
-
Open the photo, click File, then click Print. For the Photos app, click the Print button at the bottom of the window.
The print settings window opens.
-
If you do not see the following options in the window, click Show Details.

-
Select your printer from the Printer menu.
-
From the Presets menu, select an option that applies to your print job or paper type.
-
Select the Orientation of the photo (portrait for vertical or landscape for horizontal).
-
From the Paper Size menu, select the paper you are printing on. If necessary, click the up arrow at the top of the pop-up menu to display more sizes. If available, click Manage Custom Sizes to create a new paper size. Go to Creating Custom Paper Sizes for more information.
-
Click the unnamed menu at the center of the window, then change any of the following settings. Available print settings and menu names vary by printer and the application you are printing from.

Click here and refer the document for more steps.
Let me know if that helps.
Cheers.
