Hi @thanrebel,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your HP 433 printer is having an issue recognizing the toner cartridges. Here are a few steps you can follow to potentially resolve this problem:

Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the toner cartridge you are using is compatible with your HP 433 printer. You can find this information on HP's official website or on the packaging of the toner.

Reset the Printer: Sometimes, simply turning the printer off and then on again can resolve recognition issues. Turn off the printer, wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on.

Reinstall the Toner Cartridge: Remove the toner cartridge and reinstall it. Make sure it is properly seated in its designated slot. Listen for a click to ensure it is locked into place.

Clean the Contacts: Dirty or damaged contacts can cause the printer not to recognize the toner cartridge. Carefully clean the chip on the cartridge and the contacts inside the printer with a dry, lint-free cloth.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updates often fix bugs or compatibility issues. You can find updates on the HP website or through the HP support assistant on your computer.

Use Genuine HP Toner: If you are using a third-party or refilled toner cartridge, consider switching to a genuine HP toner cartridge. Sometimes printers are more sensitive to non-original cartridges.

If the issue still persists it must be a hardware issue!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
