Hi @Ziek12
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code C4EBA341 on your HP 5530 printer, along with the message about a carriage jam, typically indicates an obstruction or an issue with the print carriage. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
1. Check for Obstructions
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the printer cover and inspect the carriage path for any foreign objects (like paper clips, bits of paper, etc.) that might be blocking the movement of the print head.
- Make sure there are no obstructions in the paper path as well.
2. Manually Move the Print Carriage
- With the printer powered off, try to gently move the print carriage back and forth to see if it is stuck.
- If it’s difficult to move, there may be something obstructing its movement.
3. Inspect the Ink Cartridges
- Remove the ink cartridges and check for any packaging materials or protective tape that might not have been removed.
- Reinsert the cartridges firmly to ensure they are seated correctly.
4. Reset the Printer
- Perform a hard reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
5. Check for Paper Jams
- Check all areas of the printer for any paper jams.
- Remove any jammed paper, and ensure there are no small scraps of paper left behind.
6. Clean the Carriage Path
- Dust or debris in the carriage path can cause issues. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the area around the print head and carriage path gently.
7. Update Printer Firmware
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check for updates via the HP Smart app or on the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
