Just replaced the black ink in HP 7955e and now "Validating - Please wait" continues to be displayed.  if have removed new cartridge and put old cartridge back in and still "Validating - Please wait" is displayed.  Disconnected power cord and USB, shut down pc and let sit for 3 minutes.  I also held the power button down for a few seconds while it was off.  Powered printer back up with USB and left PC off.  Printer continues to display "Validating - Please wait".  We tried it again with brand new HP cartridge and still got "Validating - Please wait".  Do you have any more suggestions?
