HP Officejet 6950

My printer is only putting out blank pages when I want to print with black, and it's printing the demo page with all colours except for black. I've changed all cartridges and nothing has improved.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you getting this message on the printer control panel or on your PC?
  • What is the operating system?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-6950-all-in-one-printer-series/9666193/document/c0...

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello,

I tried the steps detailed in the page you provided however all test pages are still printing with no black at all.

In response to your questions:

- There is no error message appearing anywhere (not on my computer nor on the printer)

- Do you mean my computer operating system of for the printer? My computer is a MacBook Pro

If you have another set of ink cartridges, try that.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi again,

I tried to change the cartridges but no improvement. I did notice that there is a collection of black ink on the far right of the printer underneath where the cartridges usually sit. I'm pretty sure this is where the issue lies as it looks like there is a leak of some kind, however I couldn't unscrew the printer to remove the protective section and try to take a better look/clean up the ink due to it requiring a very specific screwdriver head.

Any suggestions on what to do next?
