Hi @Faymclean1

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2800e is not printing even after changing the ink cartridge, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

1. Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure the new cartridges are properly installed. Remove and reinsert them to make sure they click into place.

2. Remove Protective Tape:

  • Double-check that any protective tape or plastic covering on the cartridges has been removed.

3. Print a Test Page:

  • Try printing a test page directly from the printer’s control panel. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer or the computer.

4. Check for Error Messages:

  • Look for any error messages on the printer's display or lights indicating problems (like low ink levels or incorrect cartridges).

5. Run Printer Troubleshooter (Windows):

  • On your computer, run the printer troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select your printer and click on Manage. Then, select Run the troubleshooter.

6. Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed:
    • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.

7. Check Print Queue:

  • Ensure there are no stuck print jobs:
    • Go to Printers & Scanners, click on your printer, and check the print queue. Cancel any jobs that may be stuck.

8. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for about a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

9. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This can help diagnose and fix common printing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
