My printer recently got a paper jammed. it came out easy. cleared the paper jam fault, however i now have a e3 error (ink carriage is jammed) ive tried every reset to fix this. it isnt jammed because i manually remove the ink carriages and close the tray and i can hear and see once i lift the tray back up that it moves left to right not a problem, once i put the ink back in. it just sits there and back to the e3 error!!!! Help!!!!!

Hi @pad443
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you have a false E3 error on the printer. I'd be happy to assist you.
If you have tried the steps mentioned under "The Number of Copies icon alternates between 'E' and '3,' and the Error icon, Paper Error icon, Resume light, and Ink Alert light are blinking" in this document and the issue persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options as it could be a possible hardware issue:
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

i have done all this and the support for hp is hopeless all they can do is advise you to reset your printer in hope that it clears the fault but if it doesnt they cant fix it.
however i managed to fix this false error myself by taking one ink cartridge out and printing with lets say just the black one, after about 10 prints i put the second ink cartridge in which then cleared the error.
id advise the tech team to try this and tell other people
