hp officejet 4630 stuck in shut down, blinking, then turns itself off - will not stay on. can turn on again by unplugging/plugging back in, same thing. tried pushing wireless button, web button, home, back, ok, ?, .... just turns off.

Might be service or replacement. But before that, I would turn it on and remove the cartridges and power it down and leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes. If the electrical contacts for the cartridges (inside the printer - the little copper dots inside the carriage) are dirty, go ahead and clean them with a cotton swab and distilled water.

You can pull the plug when you hear the carriage moving. This should allow you to open the door and slide the carriage over...just don't attampt to move the carriage if it is interferring with the service station.
