Do you have an Officejet 6700?  If so then you cannot remove the printhead.

Hi Whatusaid,

If you're under warranty they may replace your unit with no cost.  I would fill out the form and give Hp call.  The form will let you know if your under warranty.  Let me know how it goes.

I am not getting a print head error. However, I am also having the very same problem with the Officejet 6700, product number CN583A. It was purchased less than six months ago. The yellow and cyan are not printing at all or only as a murky gray unclear mess. It happened with the setup cartridges which never seemed to go down beyond 1/4 full - so I'm assuming no ink is getting out. Maybe because I have been printing mostly in black mode, the colour cartridges dried out or gummed up?  I have tried numerous head cleaning and it does nothing but deplete my black ink cartridge. I will pursue this with HP

I spent some time with HP (Canada) and I think they may be aware of that this is an issue/problem with the 6700 (clogged print heads - particularly cyan and yellow). Went through the routine fix its - nothing worked. My printer is still under warranty and KUDOS to HP, they agreed to replace the printer.
