I had to make phone contact with HP support to get it done. All is well with the replaced printer.

So you had to send back your old printer? Or did they send a new one without further complications?

 

I am seriously pissed of a little bit. Searching for the error took me more than 6 hours now (and still no success). It seems like this is a bug in the printer firmware?

 

Many people are searching for this error. I am just curious about how resetting network configuration has helped a few of them. The others remained without a solution...

Support issued a shipping order slip. I packed up the old printer in the original box and sent it. As soon as they got word that it was on its way they sent a new one. I got the new one within a couple of days. No problems.

 

It took a while to solve the problem for as I had to go out of town for a few weeks. Then it took a few days of communicating with them ( support) to come to the conclusion that there was a problem somewhere. Then i was told to phonre support.

 

Resetting the the network configuration did not work for me in anyway or shape.

I would be angry if people have bought some kind of luxury trash when the implemented functions do not work as expected...

Yes it was. Only had it a couple of months.

From the Support menu, choose Rests, Partial Reset. Upon power-on, the EWS password will be blank.

I entered a 64-char passphrase. It was too long? Subsequent attempts to log in with the same password generated the invalid password error.
