I have tried all the solutions posted. I have spent hours online with HP tech support. They refuse to accept that there is something wrong with this printer's ability to stay connected. All the devices in my house stay connected. My old HP printer sat in the same place and stayed connected to my router. This one will not. I haven't have the paper jam issues because I have barely printed anything. I'm constantly rebooting the printer to print a page. So far, Support has blamed me, my internet service provider, and everyone but themselves. I even bought the extended warranty. Fat lot of good that's doing me. I had to turn off Windows Defender and it still doesn't work. Service techs remoted into my machine, uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I put my printer next to my router. It won't stay connected, like I want a printer in my living room. I want it in the office where my old printer sat and worked. I see this problem all over the internet, so it's obviously the printer and not me. I worked for HP for years. I expect better. Case Number: [Personal Information Removed]

Hi @luanneo
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I can understand your frustration, especially after investing so much time and effort into troubleshooting your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e printer's connection issues. The fact that it keeps going offline despite trying all the solutions is clearly a problem, and it's disappointing that HP support hasn't been able to resolve it. Let’s try a few additional steps and things to consider that might help get your printer connected consistently.
Additional Troubleshooting Steps for Connection Issues
1. Check Printer’s Wireless Network Settings
Even though you’ve placed the printer next to your router, it might still be experiencing issues due to network settings or interference.
- Reset the printer’s network settings:
- Turn off the printer.
- Hold the wireless button (usually a blue Wi-Fi icon) for about 5-10 seconds or until the printer's wireless light starts flashing.
- This should reset the wireless connection and allow you to set it up from scratch.
- After resetting, go to the Wireless Setup Wizard in the printer’s menu (if available) and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure you're connecting to the 2.4 GHz network if your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks (the 2.4 GHz network typically has better range and stability).
2. Use a Static IP Address
Sometimes, printers can have trouble staying connected if the router is assigning dynamic IP addresses, especially if there are many devices on the network. Setting a static IP address for your printer might help ensure it remains connected.
- Assign a static IP to the printer by logging into your router's admin panel (using the router’s IP address in a web browser).
- Find the DHCP reservation or static IP assignment section.
- Reserve an IP address for the printer based on its MAC address (you can find the MAC address from the printer’s settings page).
Once the IP address is reserved, configure the printer to use it by going to the printer’s network settings and manually entering the static IP address.
3. Check for Router Issues (Interference, Router Settings)
There could be router settings or interference causing the connection issue. Try these:
Change the router’s Wi-Fi channel: If there are many devices or neighbors on the same channel, the printer’s connection can get disrupted. In the router settings, try switching the Wi-Fi channel to one less crowded.
Disable the router’s guest network: If you have a guest network enabled, make sure your printer isn’t accidentally connecting to it. Guest networks often have limited connectivity to other devices.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
