Is the printer itself saying it is offline or can you not connect from your computer?

 

Is this a new install or a sudden development on a product you have used before?

What type of computer are you using? Mac or Windows or Linux?

How are you connecting to the printer, usb, wired network or wireless network?

Does it work if you turn the printer off and then on again?

Does it work if you restart the computer?

Are you printing from HP smart or using a driver installed on the PC and printing direct from programs like word?
