I have had my printer for a while now and was online to order ink but decided to try the instant ink program. I just signed up and it said that a welcome pack was being delivered. However, when I look at my account page online, it says that 2 of my cartridges are either missing or malfunctioning and have to be replaced. (they are empty and that is why I was about to order more ink). The other 2 cartridges are labeled as 'shipment processing'. So this brings me to my questions:
1. Is the welcome packet with ink coming even though it says on the ink page that the 2 empty ones can not be processed and shipped until replaced?
2. If not, I have no desire to buy new ink just to qualify to start this program and then have some ink that is full and some almost empty when the welcome kit gets here. So, if I decide to cancel instead; what about the welcome packet ink IF it is really coming.
I am pretty confused by this process at the moment and feeling much more insecure about continuing with it (especially after reading where some people have had their printers stop working because of connecting to the ink program).

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
“Your Instant Ink account page has data on past deliveries and estimated shipments. It also helps you understand what state your cartridges are in based on HP’s data. Any issues will be shown with steps to fix. Please check your account page to see the latest cartridge information by signing into your account at “instantink.com”.
You don't have to buy any ink cartridges. The ink cartridges are shipped using a regular shipment which takes 8 to 10 business days. So the ink shipment shows as pending.
Also, if you cancel the instant ink subscription the welcome kit will not work on the printer. You have to use only regular ink cartridges on the printer to print.
If you are need of ink cartridges, Please share us few details through a private message, so I can initiate the order to ship you replacement ink cartridges at an express shipment.
