Good morning,
the printer recently purchased at the hp store (officejet pro 7740), started producing a black line on the left side of the sheets. There doesn't appear to be a software problem. The problem has persisted for a few days.
I don't think the problem is in the sheet format. I insert an image in which the same sheet has been printed with the same system. one of the two presents the line the other does not.
the printer is new, the cartridges inserted are those of hp setup. I have already cleaned several times.

I apologize for the delay and thank you for the support.
In fact, the problem doesn't seem to show up in photocopies...
I add that the problem does not appear in all prints but only in some. we fail to understand the pattern which seems random

Let's try to do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.

Thank you for your answer.
Your tip is the first to have some effect, even though I spoke to two different support agents a few weeks ago.
The "line problem" is solved, now no lines appear in A4 documents.
However, A3 documents now come out in black and white and with a very low print quality. It looks like a sort of "proof" in black and white, instead of the color document.
However, this indicates that your deduction that the problem is at a software level is correct.
How can I solve the new problem with the A3?

Thanks for the reply.
None of the solutions described seem to work. However, I confirm that the problem seems to be on the software side.
In the PC that has performed the procedure you described in the previous post, the "problem of lines" on A4 sheets has disappeared, but now the A3s come out at very low quality and always in black and white, regardless of the settings.
In PCs where the procedure you described has not been performed, the problem of lines in A4 sheets persists, but the A3s come out correctly as always.
No problem in photocopying of any format.
No problems in scans.

I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
