Since Firmware update I now have "Supply Problem" for my m254dw Colour Laser Printer
My laser cartridges have been working fine, but it seems HP have now changed their firmware to prevent compatible laser toner cartridges from working. I have bought HP products for years but never again. The cost of original cartridges is prohibitive in these tough economic times. I will never buy HP again, you have just lost a loyal customer.

The latest HP update blocks all 3rd party supplies
Dynamic security enabled printer. This Firmware includes dynamic security measures, which may prevent supplies with non-HP chips or circuitry from working now or in the future. More at: www.hp.com/go/learnaboutsupplies.
To use your printer with a 3rd party supply you will need to downgrade the latest firmware to the previous one.
I know how to do it, but HP probably wont be happy to tell you how. If you are tech savvy and google around a bit you can find the solution.
Just a electronics enthusiast trying to fix everything.
