Hello, @ironkingat - Hope you are well 🙂

Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!

I see that you are trying to make the draft printing as the default print setting. You need to first change the print setting to draft mode and then save the setting as the new presets.

Go to http://hp.care/2v6fWGj and follow the steps under “Saving default print settings as a new preset”.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!

Good luck 🙂

@ironkingat

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate your time and effort.

I understand that you want to copy in draft mode.

  • Once you choose copy on the front panel of the printer,
  • scroll down to the bottom of the Copy Menu.
  • You will see a Lighter/Darker option.
  • You can choose Lighter.
  • That would be the equivalent to a Draft mode.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.
