HP Officejet 7610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer is connected to laptop by cable, so not a wireless issue.

I had been working on several documents, for several hours and all was printing just fine.  Then the printer stopped printing the header on some pages, even though it had been. Once the issue began, printer usually would print header on the first page, but not the others. It wasn't an issue of not withing the print area, because things that had just printed correctly, suddenly didn't, but I still changed the margin settings to see if that made any difference but it didn't.  No matter what I did, it wouldn't print header correctly and then it started printing with wider left margin.  Again, nothing I did corrected it. I reset margins, even though it showed the correct settings but still didn't fix.

I googled the issue but not any of the suggestions helped.  I read that there could be miscommunication with the computer.  I ran all sorts of "maintenance, cleaners, etc.".  I even purchased a new PC Cleaner but that didn't make any difference all.

I have wasted days and hours on this and have no idea what else to do.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂

I read that your HP OfficeJet 7610 Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer does not print the header on some pages. The headers were printing fine before. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did any software changes or updates happen recently on the computer?
  • Have you tried to print from another application and checked?

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This is a free tool for Windows to help resolve issues with the printer drivers.

If the issue persists then please uninstall the printer drivers from the root level and then reinstall them. The following steps will help:

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • You may download and install the drivers from this link.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂

Thank you sooo much for answering!!

I do have updates programed to happen automatically, so it's possible an update of same kind may have occurred but I wasn't aware of it or any evidence of.

Yes, I am/have printed from multiple locations and the left margin is still indented, even to the point it crowds off information on the right.  Sooo frustrating and annoying!

It just makes nooo sense!

I do have Print and Scan doctor downloaded and run it numerous times to find the issure but it says all is working well.  I purchased zookaware and run it multiple times, as well as AOL's Computer Check Up.

Still have printer issues.... 😞

This is so frustrating.  I wish I could talk to someone.  I tried following your directions but could not find what you listed:

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features. Programs and Features wouldn't pul up.  I had Apps and Features. I kept trying and picked one that was uninstal. I had already deleted my printer and tried to re-install yesterday but kept getting error box that it couldn't instal driver correctly
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.    I went to uninstall by-passed rest of this. I found HP OfficeJet 7610 series and another line had HP OfficeJet7610 series class driver. I uninstalled class driver. Another box came up and asked if uninstal driver only or whole "packet" (forgot the word) and clicked to erase who packet
Another error box says can't delete but had a delete button.  Clicked delete. nothing happened.  Tried again with driver only, same error box couldn't delete.  Tried several ties, says can't delete, driver is in use.  The printer is off so don't know what driver is in use....
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • You may download and install the drivers from this linkthis link won't open, finally did but doesn't list driver. clicked to instal what it had

Installed and printed a page, left margin sitll over too far, information goes off page on right

All my products have been HP for years.  My old printer HP OfficeJet 6500 E709n that I have had for yeeeaaarrs just went out.  A plastic band broke that is easy to get at and see, should be an easy fix but will cost more in labor to fix than a new one 😞

My last HP laptop lasted more years than I can remember.

BUT.....

Current laptop bought 11/16 had constant problems and hard drive had to be replaced 10/17.  NOT EVEN A YEAR!  And it still doesn't run well.

Printer 7610 bought last year has been one aggrevation after another and now this.  It's not even good for posters and flyers which was the main reason I picked it.  I have wasted over a week on this and can't get tech support or answers.

I am really beginning to think I need to try a different brand....

Thanks for trying the suggested steps.

It could be an issue with the Windows operating system because the suggested steps aren't working on your computer. I tested the link again for downloading the drivers and it works fine.

NOTE: If you're going to connect the printer via USB, then do not connect it initially. Begin the installation first and later there will be a prompt to connect the printer. That's when you may connect the printer.

If it is an HP computer then I suggest you to perform a Windows refresh (repair). This will not affect your files. The Refresh option is primarily a repair method - a way to return your computer to a known good state:

  • Your files and personalization settings such as libraries, user accounts, and desktop themes are saved.

  • The computer settings are returned to the defaults.

  • Apps from the Windows store are reinstalled, and the settings are reset to their defaults. Internet connectivity is not required to reinstall these apps.

  • Desktop apps are removed unless they were installed by the computer manufacturer. At the end of the refresh process, an HTML file called Removed Apps.html is placed on the desktop with a list of the desktop apps that were removed.

Hope this helps. Let me know. Good luck! 🙂
