Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
If your HP Ink Tank 310 printer is printing with a pink tint and missing yellow color, this typically indicates a clogged or empty yellow ink nozzle, or a printhead issue. Let’s walk through the steps to resolve this:
Check Ink Levels
Make sure the yellow ink tank has sufficient ink.
- Look at the yellow ink tank on the front of the printer.
- If it’s low or empty, refill it using HP GT52 Yellow Ink Bottle.
Run Printhead Cleaning
A clogged yellow nozzle can cause color distortion.
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Resume/Cancel button for 3 seconds to start printhead cleaning.
- Alternatively, use HP Printer Assistant or HP Smart App on your PC:
- Go to Printer Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
Print a Diagnostic Page
This helps identify which colors are printing correctly.
- Press and hold the Power button, then press the Cancel button once.
- Release both buttons. A diagnostic page will print.
- Check if yellow is missing or faded.
Perform Deep Cleaning (if needed)
If yellow is still missing:
- Repeat the cleaning process 2–3 times.
- Use HP Toolbox or HP Smart App to run Deep Cleaning.
Check for Air Bubbles or Ink Flow Issues
Sometimes air bubbles or dried ink can block flow:
- Gently tap the yellow ink tank.
- Ensure the ink tube is not kinked or blocked.
Align Printhead
After cleaning, align the printhead to improve color accuracy:
- Go to Printer Settings > Maintenance > Align Printhead.
