Hi @coleen6,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Smart Tank 750 series printer is frequently entering error mode and printing only halfway through the page, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams or misaligned paper in the printer. Even small bits of paper can cause the printer to malfunction.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP Support website.
- Inspect Ink Levels: Low or empty ink bottles can lead to printing issues. Check the ink levels and refill them if necessary. Make sure you're using the correct ink for your printer model.
- Reset the Printer: A simple reset can often resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected and that the printer is properly connected to your network, especially if you're printing wirelessly.
- Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor: This tool can help diagnose and resolve many printing issues automatically. Download it from the HP support site and follow the prompts.
- Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes, third-party software can interfere with printing. If possible, test printing from a different application or device to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
