After semi-resetting working printer, the home button does not work or light up and I need to do a scan.
If anyone knows how I can fix the home button without servicing printer.

Hi @Marinpopah,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
If the home button on your HP Officejet Pro 8615 does not work or light up, there may be a few reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:
Restart the Printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
Check the Power Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to a power source. Check the power cord and plug it securely into the printer and the power outlet.
Check the Control Panel: Make sure that the control panel is not locked. Some printers have a control panel lock feature that disables certain buttons. Refer to your printer's manual to unlock the control panel if necessary.
Reset the Printer: Perform a reset on the printer to clear any temporary issues. To do this, turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, wait for a minute, and then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve software-related issues.Click here
If none of the above steps work, there may be a hardware issue with the home button. Contact HP support for service or replacement.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
