Hi @caristo,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code #U1-2320 on your HP Color Laser 179fnw printer typically indicates a paper jam or a paper feed issue. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the problem.

Check for Jammed Paper:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open all the access doors and trays to inspect for any jammed paper.
  • Gently remove any paper you find. Be sure to check the entire paper path.

Clear Paper Path:

  • Ensure there are no torn pieces of paper left in the printer.
  • Rotate the printer's rollers and gears to check for any obstruction.

Check Sensors:

  • Inspect the sensors in the paper path for any dirt or debris. Clean them carefully using a lint-free cloth.

Reload Paper:

  • Make sure the paper being used is within the specified size and type for your printer.
  • Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly in the trays.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. If there is, follow the instructions to update the firmware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
