If your HP DeskJet 3772 printer is showing a "Printer in Error State" message, try the following troubleshooting steps:
Check Basic Connections
- Ensure the printer is powered on and connected properly.
- Check if the USB cable (for wired connections) is securely plugged in.
- If using Wi-Fi, make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
Restart Printer & Computer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Shut down your computer as well.
- Wait 1-2 minutes, then turn everything back on and check if the error persists.
Check for Paper Jams
- Open the printer’s paper tray and remove any stuck paper.
- Check for any loose or foreign objects inside the printer.
Ensure Ink Cartridges are Properly Installed
- Open the cartridge access door and reinsert the ink cartridges.
- If the ink levels are low or the cartridge is faulty, consider replacing it.
Update Printer Drivers
- Go to HP official website and download the latest drivers for the HP DeskJet 3772.
- Install the drivers and restart your computer.
Check Windows Printer Settings
- Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP DeskJet 3772 and select "See what's printing".
- If there are stuck print jobs, cancel them.
Run Windows Troubleshooter
