i HAVE NEW hp oFFICEJET pRO 9135E PRINTER.  PRINTER WORKS FINE .  However, when I scan from the flatb ed or the auto feeder, the copy prints with enlarged font, no margins as if it is auto cropping.  There no selections in preference to change the setting.

Hi @Kelsie9040,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e scanner is applying auto-cropping or resizing settings when scanning, causing your scans to print larger than expected. Here’s how to fix it:

1. Check Scan Settings in HP Smart App

  1. Open HP Smart on your PC.
  2. Select Scan from the main menu.
  3. Click More settings or Advanced settings.
  4. Look for Resize, Auto-Crop, or Fit-to-Page options and turn them off.
  5. Set Output Size to Actual Size (100%).
  6. Save the settings and try scanning again.

2. Adjust Printer Preferences in Windows

  1. Go to Control PanelDevices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e → Select Printing Preferences.
  3. Look for any options related to Auto Resize, Scaling, or Fit-to-Page.
  4. Set scaling to 100% (Actual Size) and disable any auto-fit options.
  5. Click Apply and test the scan again.

3. Disable Auto Crop in HP Scan Software

  1. Open HP Scan on your computer.
  2. Go to Scan Settings and find Auto Crop or Automatic Resizing.
  3. Disable Auto Crop and manually adjust the margins if needed.
  4. Save the settings and try scanning again.

4. Update Printer Firmware & Drivers

If the issue persists, update your printer firmware:

  1. Go to HP Support.
  2. Enter your printer model: HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e.
  3. Download and install the latest firmware and drivers.

5. Perform a Factory Reset (Last Resort)

If the problem still exists:

  1. Go to the printer's touchscreen and open Settings.
  2. Navigate to Printer MaintenanceRestore Defaults.
  3. Select Reset All Settings and follow the prompts.

After resetting, set up the printer again and check if the scanning issue is resolved.

If none of these steps work, try using a different scanning software like Windows Fax and Scan or Adobe Acrobat to see if the issue is specific to HP's software.

Let me know if you need more help! 😊
