I have a scale issue: my new printer prints about half inch higher than my previous printer, causing misalignment in my original Word documents. Does anyone know how to correct this error? I think it's not only that the position moved upward, but the scale also shrunk a bit. Additionally, if I print a full page of pictures, the bottom margin is much wider than the top, even I set up everything right in Word. This never happened with the old printer I used. The printed result is different from the Word print preview. What should I do?

Under print quality settings there should a be registration routine that allows you to shift images on the page to ensure proper alignment. I do not see it shown in the manual, but often some of these instructions are not printed. No idea why HP does that.

I could also be a difference in default margin settings between your old Canon and the new HP.

Thanks for your reply! The thing is .. under the printing quality settings there're only 2 options. i already did the align printheads, but i don't need to clean it. there's no 3rd option under this setting page.
And I feel very painful about this issue is - I have a lot of pre-designed template for my work, and they all worked well with my canon printer before. when I print them with my new HP printer they all messed up. I have tons of those files related to work and i just CAN'T edit each one to fit my new printer T_T

now I found a solution: I can turn the templates into PDF files and print as "actual size." The printer worked perfectly then. I think the HP 7300 series just has a design flaw that prevents it from printing the right size of Word files. I haven't figured out how to resolve that, but at least PDF format can make my existing word templates work.
