I have a new DELL WIndows 10 laptop  and an existing Officejet Pro 8620 printer with a second paper tray.  Office 2016 and Adobe Acrobat do not show Tray 2 as one of the paper sources.  How do I get the software to recognize that there is a second paper tray?  My Window 7 laptop does show a Tray 2 paper source and it has worked fine for almost a year.

The recommended solution did not work.  I did solve the problem as follows:

in WINDOWS 10,

  1. from the START button (white window on left of task bar) select SETTINGS
  2. Select DEVICES
  3. Select PRINTERS AND SCANNERS
  4. Select HP8620 PRINTER
  5. Select MANAGE
  6. Select Printer Properties
  7. Select Device Settings Tab
  8. Under the Installable Options change Tray 2 to Installed
  9. Apply the changes
  10. Select OK

New windows 10 desktop does not detect tray 2. I tried your answers for the laptop and didn't work. Printer is Officejet Pro 8600 Premium.
