I bought this to leave in my trailer to occasionally print. When I come back after going home for 4 months, the ink shows full but will not print only traces. I shake it, try again and still only traces. Buying a new cartridge is expensive is there a fix?

Hi,
You may try cleaning the printheads from the printer screen and see if that helps, see steps five and six below:
If that doesn't help you would need to replace the cartridges.
I would generally suggest using the printer from time to time, at least to print some page once a week, keeping the printer stored with no usage for such long periods will likely cause the ink cartridges to get clogged.
