Hello.
I'm recently having a problem with my otherwise excellent printer. After having printed one page, the on/off button and the one next to it (paper feed?) keep flashing and nothing can be done. I then have to switch it off and then on to continue and print another page.
What can I do?
thanks in advance

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.
MKazi is at your service.
I understand that you have an HP Officejet Pro K5400 Printer and after it prints one page, he on/off button and the one next to it (paper feed?) keep flashing and the printer is nonoperational. You have to restart the printer to make it to print. But again the issue persists after printing one more page. Not to worry, I'll be glad to assist you with this case.
Did any hardware changes happen on the printer recently (paper jam, ink cartridge replacement, etc.)?
While you respond to that. I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
If the issue persists then please refer to the steps from this HP document: https://hp.care/2kofgXX
This document suggests in "Issue: The Power light and the Resume light blink, and one or more Print Cartridge lights are on" that the cause of this issue is because one or more cartridges might have expired.
I sincerely hope this information helps. Keep me posted for further assistance.
Cheers! 🙂
