Said there was a paper jam, I checked and no paper jam. Tried various troubleshooting to include reinstalling printer, reboot computer, unplug printer plug in again etc comes back to old faithful paper jam message then go to shut it off and one time i left it on shutting off mode over night and it was like that next morning. to start the process all over next day... same error paper jam, but no jam. I shut it down and restarted, but received the same error. Ok... GO!

If you have performed all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this document, and if this is a false paper jam error, resetting the printer to its factory settings may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:
- Check if you are able to bypass the error message and go to the Home screen of the printer.
- The reset will work only if you are able to bypass the error.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

It is now shutting down in an appropriate amount of time but when it boots back on it comes up to the erroneous paper jam message, goes through an alignment process, requests paper jam check , i click "OK" finishes alignement and then message says Printer failure - there is a problem with the printer or print system. turn the printer off then on. if you continue to get this message contact HP 0x6100004a and now it's a different infinity loop 🙂

If you have performed the Semi-full reset and the issue still persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options as it could be a possible hardware issue:
1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
