Hi @jjnixon,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding stuck print jobs!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

1. Restart the Print Spooler Service (Windows)

Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.

Scroll down to find Print Spooler.

Right-click on it and select Stop.

Minimize the window (don’t close it yet).

2. Clear the Print Queue

Open File Explorer and go to: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS

Delete all files in this folder (these are stuck print jobs).

Go back to the Services window.

Right-click on Print Spooler and select Start.

3. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s support page.

Run the tool and follow the prompts to fix printer issues.

4. Set Printer as Default

Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click your HP 8600 and select Set as default printer.

5. Remove and Reinstall the Printer

Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click the HP 8600 and choose Remove device.

Restart your PC.

Reinstall the printer by downloading the latest drivers from HP’s official website.

Let me know if the issue persists.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
