Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just bought a new HP ENVY 7858 printer yesterday.  I do a lot of 8 x 10 photo printing.  Instructions give good details for 4x6 and 5x7 but no instructions for 8x10.  Directions are to put 8x10 paper in main tray but when I put the photo paper there it will not except that and says to put in the photo tray.  I have no way to go around this prompt, so I can't even try to print, it just keeps saying that the photo tray is empty.  The only photo tray that it identifies is the small tray above the main tray and the 8x10 will NOT fit there.  If I put plain paper in the main tray it will print my photo, but I need it on photo paper.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

Create a custom paper size and default tray to print the desired aper size.
