How is the printer connected? USB or network?

The issue you are having is consistent with a printer driver that has configured using a WSD Port and/or a Microsoft Class or IPP driver. On your computer, go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the icon of your printer and select "printer properties" from the drop down menu. Then click on the port tab to see what type of port is being used. If the words WSD appear anywhere in the port description you will want to change it to a TCP/IP port. Clicking on the advanced tab will show you which driver is installed.
